Sometimes families face sudden situations that make it temporarily impossible to care for their dog, hospitalization, housing emergencies, domestic violence relocation, or other short-term crises.

We pay a licensed boarding facility directly so your dog stays safe while you rebuild.

Maximum boarding period is 30 days
You and Second Leash Foundation agree on a return date before boarding begins
We check in with you every 7 days during the stay
Your dog must be current on core vaccinations, if they are not, we can help with that first
All boarding costs are paid directly to the facility, never to the family.
